Strategic importance hits a record 7.8/10 and DLT budgets are growing about 20% a year, more than three times the pace of overall securities-operations spend. Tokenised money market funds and stablecoins are this year's leading asset classes, and collateral tokenisation is on track to become the #1 use case in 2027. The main blocker is no longer technology but client and counterparty adoption (92%), which keeps firms in a “fast follower” stand-off.
