Analytical Approach: Vault Risk Assessments

Quy trình bốn bước: đánh giá chất lượng tín dụng danh mục; đánh giá curator và độ lệch thanh khoản; đánh giá blockchain, giao thức, quản trị và an ninh; và quy đổi sang thang chữ, có điều chỉnh tổng thể.S&P Global Ratings published (4 Oct 2026) its Vault Risk Assessment (VRA) approach for lending vaults: smart contracts that pool and allocate digital assets to on-chain lending markets collateralised by crypto or tokenized RWAs, in permissioned or permissionless settings. A VRA is a forward-looking, relative opinion on the risk of impairment to an investor's position, marked with a “v” suffix (e.g. AAA(v) is lowest risk). It is not a credit rating and does not comment on yield. Four steps: portfolio credit-quality assessment; curator and liquidity-mismatch assessments; blockchain, protocol, governance and security assessments; and mapping to a letter scale with holistic adjustment.

DMI Journal: The Autonomy Economy — AI in payments (October 2026)

Mục tin tức ghi nhận Santander và Mastercard thực hiện thanh toán đầu-cuối đầu tiên ở châu Âu do tác tử AI thực hiện, và HKEX–HKMA thí điểm e-HKD bán buôn cho ký quỹ ngoài giờ.OMFIF's Digital Monetary Institute October 2026 journal covers the “autonomy economy”, where AI agents not only advise but complete transactions. The 8-page PDF holds the foreword and news review, summarising contributors from Circle, Coinbase, the IMF, Barclays, Oracle, Hedera, Agio Ratings and Global Women in AI. Key points: stablecoins may be a key vector for agentic payments given near-zero marginal cost; agents' speed challenges supervisors; agents running the same models could trigger flash crashes and runs; AI may inherit inequalities in data. News includes Santander and Mastercard completing Europe's first live end-to-end AI-agent payment and an HKEX–HKMA pilot using wholesale e-HKD for after-hours margin.

International Stablecoin Flows, Capital Controls and Currency Crises (IMF Working Paper WP/26/211)

This IMF working paper (Marco Reuter) builds a country-level panel of international stablecoin flows for 188 countries, totalling USD 21.4tn of gross flows in 2018–2025, validated against Brazil's official statistics and exchange data. Activity is concentrated in emerging and developing economies, which hold three-quarters of stablecoins. Two findings: when countries restrict capital outflows, stablecoin activity rises ~30% over six months, then plateaus and does not fall when restrictions are lifted; in currency crises, holdings rise ~75% within a year and persist. Both suggest dollarization may now operate through stablecoins.

Central banks on-chain (presentation by Isabel Schnabel)

Isabel Schnabel (ECB Executive Board) spoke on 1 Oct 2026 at the Future of Money conference honouring Charles Goodhart (Bank of England). Tokenisation enables faster, safer, smarter settlement through programmability and atomicity (all legs settle together or not at all). Modern monetary systems rest on a two-tier structure anchored by central bank money, which can expand liquidity elastically in crises (1907, COVID-19). The ECB aims to preserve this anchor in a tokenised world: Pontes launched on 21 Sep 2026 with dual settlement via TARGET or DLT, while Appia explores long-term tokenised architectures.

DLT in the Real World 2026: Where, how and why DLT is transforming the capital markets

The seventh annual ValueExchange–ISSA survey of 510 capital-markets institutions (Q2 2026) finds DLT moving from experimentation into real deployment. Strategic importance hits a record 7.8/10 and DLT budgets are growing about 20% a year, more than three times the pace of overall securities-operations spend. Tokenised money market funds and stablecoins are this year's leading asset classes, and collateral tokenisation is on track to become the #1 use case in 2027. The main blocker is no longer technology but client and counterparty adoption (92%), which keeps firms in a “fast follower” stand-off.

Tokenized Deposits for Banks: A Primer

Tempo's primer explains tokenized deposits: ordinary bank deposits recorded and moved on blockchain. The claim is unchanged: still a bank liability, deposit-insurance eligible and able to earn interest; only the ledger differs. Large banks (J.P. Morgan, Citi, HSBC, BNY) have run live versions since 2020, but all share one limit: money moves only within the issuing bank. Three constraints eased in 2024–2026: legal (EBA, GENIUS Act, Basel crypto standard, FDIC proposal), the interbank layer (The Clearing House, Swift's ledger, Project Agorá) and competitive pressure from stablecoins. Each bank faces two decisions: which record is authoritative (core systems or blockchain), and how to settle with other banks.

The State of Tokenization: Tracking demand and liquidity in the tokenization market

Pantera Capital's report (Sep 2026; data to 30 Jun 2026 plus Q3 updates) says issuing tokens is easy; the next frontier is compliant, liquid, capital-efficient secondary markets. Trading and participation are sharply bifurcated. Among 110 non-stablecoin products of USD 10mn+, open-access products held 41% of value but generated 99.8% of June spot trading; 46 of 48 whitelist-only products fell below the turnover threshold. Equity perpetuals on Hyperliquid and Lighter traded USD 67.8bn in June, ~16x tokenized-equity spot volume. Robinhood Chain (launched 1 Jul) showed effective consumer distribution. The Seoul Standard: Korea's digital asset regulation, KRW stablecoins and the institutional onchain stack

Retail long dominated (16mn+ people, ~32% of the population, held crypto). Since Jan 2026, a tokenized-securities (STO) framework is enacted, effective 2027, and a nine-year ban on corporate crypto investment was lifted with a 5%-of-equity cap. The Digital Asset Basic Act (DABA) on stablecoins is still contested: whether KRW stablecoin issuance is reserved for bank-led consortiums or open to fintechs. Meanwhile Korean capital has moved heavily into USD stablecoins and abroad (about USD 40.6bn via exchanges in Q1 2025, USD 19.5bn in stablecoins), a monetary-sovereignty concern.

Agentic AI and Code Reviews: Toward a Pattern Language for Code Reviews in the Age of Agentic AI

With AI producing code faster than humans can read it, manual review of every change is unsustainable. They propose a pattern language of nine patterns for a layered verification system: deterministic checks, agentic review, policy evaluation and selective, risk-tiered human judgment. Three conditions let humans leave the critical path: push as much validation as possible into deterministic checks; tier review by risk; and make every agent decision leave an inspectable record. Two case studies: Block (90% of 3,500 engineers using AI daily) and Cloudflare (131,246 review runs across 48,095 PRs in one month).

Global Stablecoin Regulatory Frameworks: Closing the Gap

Các bên còn bất đồng về rủi ro của đa phát hành: Ngân hàng Anh kết luận mô hình này không phù hợp cho stablecoin hệ thống, còn ESRB cảnh báo rủi ro dòng đổi lại xuyên biên giới.GFTN (organiser of the Singapore FinTech Festival), with GDF and Ripple, summarises a regulator–industry roundtable at Point Zero Forum. Stablecoin capitalisation exceeded USD 300bn at end-2025, ~97% USD, yet there is no international consensus on integrating global stablecoins into reciprocal frameworks. Terms such as “stablecoin”, “e-money” and “high-quality liquid asset” mean different things under GENIUS, MiCA, Singapore, the UK and the UAE. Two cross-border models are discussed: multi-issuance (licensed entities in several countries issuing one fungible token) and mutual recognition. Views on multi-issuance risk diverge: the BoE found it unsuitable for systemic use, while the ESRB flags cross-border redemption flows.

Decentralized Finance (DeFi) & Vaults: Global Standards Mapping Initiative (GSMI) 7.0

Growth is fast, e.g. Morpho deposits rose from USD 5bn to 13bn in 2025, and exchanges like Kraken advertise up to 8% APY via curated vaults. The report warns DeFi yield lacks bank-deposit protections and recommends: publish clear vault mandates, prioritise risk-adjusted returns over headline yield, formal curator governance, and genuine user control.

Powering open finance infrastructure (Smart Data Accelerator research)

Khi dịch vụ AI tác tử hành động thay người dùng, hạ tầng cần xác lập danh tính, thẩm quyền và hành động được phép của dịch vụ đó.Research commissioned by the FCA's Smart Data Accelerator (Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and Raidiam), published 29 Sep 2026, compares three infrastructure models for scaling from open banking to open finance: centralised, decentralised/federated and hybrid. Drawing on Brazil, Australia, the EU and the UAE, it finds a hybrid a credible proposition for UK testing: centrally coordinate functions needing consistency, such as accreditation and trust, while giving firms flexibility in service delivery. As AI agents act for users, infrastructure must establish the service's identity, authority and permitted actions.

Equivalent to Equivalence: models of international openness and reciprocity for stablecoins (EUI Policy Brief 2026/20)

Andrew Whitworth's EUI policy brief argues stablecoin frameworks (EU MiCA, US GENIUS Act, UK regime) are nearly complete but do not talk to each other: an EU-lawful stablecoin cannot freely circulate in the US or UK and vice versa. “Equivalence” is used loosely for mechanisms differing in legal basis, reciprocity, revocability, scope and supervisory burden. MiCA's lack of a third-country route does not remove cross-border risk; it pushes it into multi-issuance structures. The practical first step proposed: firm-specific conditional access backed by international supervisory colleges, shared reserve data, stress protocols and clear withdrawal powers.

ESCB response to the European Commission's targeted consultation on the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR)

The European System of Central Banks' 57-page response to the Commission's MiCA review consultation. The ESCB calls MiCA robust but proposes: keep the ban on stablecoin interest; replace minimum bank-deposit requirements with liquidity buckets (shares of assets maturing within one and five working days); raise own funds and reserve diversification for non-bank issuers; clarify the legality of third-country multi-issuer stablecoin schemes; and extend ECB opinion powers on financial stability. It supports moving authorisation and supervision of all CASPs to ESMA, and addresses topics beyond MiCA: DeFi, staking, lending and tokenised deposits.

The digitalisation of money, payments and finance (presentation by Piero Cipollone)

Bài trình bày của Piero Cipollone (Ban Điều hành ECB) ngày 23/09/2026 tại Fondazione ResPublica tóm tắt chiến lược thanh toán toàn diện của ECB. Hai trụ cột cung cấp tiền ngân hàng trung ương theo cách mới: euro kỹ thuật số cho thanh toán bán lẻ hằng ngày (bổ sung tiền mặt, có giới hạn nắm giữ, không trả lãi, phân phối qua ngân hàng) và tiền ngân hàng trung ương token hoá cho giao dịch bán buôn qua dự án Pontes và Appia. ECB phân loại tài sản thanh toán số thành tài sản công (euro số, Pontes/Appia) và tài sản tư (tiền gửi token hoá, stablecoin). Thí điểm euro số kéo dài 12 tháng bắt đầu nửa cuối 2027, mục tiêu sẵn sàng phát hành năm 2029.Piero Cipollone (ECB Executive Board) presented the ECB's payments strategy on 23 Sep 2026 at Fondazione ResPublica. Two pillars supply central bank money in new ways: the digital euro for everyday retail payments (complementing cash, with holding limits, no remuneration, distributed by banks) and tokenised central bank money for wholesale via Pontes and Appia. The ECB classifies digital settlement assets as public (digital euro, Pontes/Appia) and private (tokenised deposits, stablecoins). A 12-month digital euro pilot starts in H2 2027, with readiness for potential first issuance in 2029.

Cross-border payments in 2040: five hypotheses for a multi-rail future

Deutsche Bank sets out five hypotheses for cross-border payments to 2040. (1) The dollar paradox: reserves diversify (mainly into gold) while payments stay dollar-led. (2) The convergence assumption breaks as networks fragment along geopolitical and regulatory lines. (3) Scale what already runs, e.g. One-Leg-Out and the Swift payments scheme. (4) Tokenized money moves from pilots to platforms; tokenized deposits and stablecoins are complementary, not competing. (5) AI shifts value from execution to orchestration. Conclusion: correspondent banking's value lies in connecting ecosystems, not owning a rail.

Asset Tokenization 101: The Next Phase of Financial Infrastructure

Deutsche Bank Research's chartbook (Marion Laboure, Camilla Siazon) shows tokenized assets excluding stablecoins growing from ~USD 10bn (Jan 2025) to ~USD 39bn (Sep 2026), led by US Treasuries (~USD 15bn) via tokenized money market funds. Tokenization is moving from assets to infrastructure: DTCC's tokenization service (launching Oct 2026), DLT intraday repo and the Eurosystem's Pontes. But issuance does not automatically create secondary liquidity; progress is needed on assets, settlement money and infrastructure together.

Digital Collateral: a practical reality

Các tình huống gồm ký quỹ 24/7, CCP châu Á tận dụng đồng hồ 24 giờ, quỹ MMF token hoá của Franklin Templeton làm tài sản đảm bảo lý tưởng, Citi Wealth đưa crypto vào chuỗi tài trợ, phát hành chứng khoán tiền IPO của SIX và kinh nghiệm của quỹ QRT.Citi and The ValueExchange compile case studies showing tokenized collateral is now real: about USD 346bn of daily repo uses tokenized securities, and 27% of institutions plan to pledge tokenized bonds and cash in 2027. The core problem: legacy infrastructure runs in business hours while risk never sleeps, forcing over-collateralization and pre-funding. Cases cover 24x7 margining, Asian CCPs using the 24-hour clock, Franklin Templeton's tokenized MMF as ideal collateral, Citi Wealth bringing crypto into the funding chain, SIX's pre-IPO securities issuance and lessons from trading firm QRT.

The Connective Tissue of Digital Finance: Interoperability, Programmability, and the Path to Institutional Scale

Citi (co-authored with Swift) argues the bottleneck in digital finance is interoperability, not technology. Banks have invested over USD 100bn in blockchain since 2020, producing parallel networks with fragmented liquidity, like early telephone companies running isolated networks. The near term is hybrid: assets, cash and records across legacy systems, private ledgers and public chains. Interoperability lets assets move; programmability lets them carry their rules, obligations and compliance as they move. The paper assesses competition among settlement monies (tokenized deposits, stablecoins, central bank money) and frames regulation as a feature, not just a constraint.

Money and power: lessons from history for stablecoins and US dollar dominance (speech by Carolyn Wilkins)

Carolyn Wilkins (Bank of England FPC member) spoke on 15 Sep 2026 at Queen's University Belfast, using the history of private money to answer three questions. (1) Can private digital money work safely at scale? Yes, but only with credible redemption, par exchange and stress-handling institutions. (2) If USD stablecoins scale? They extend dollar settlement, deepen digital dollarisation and demand for US safe assets, but create cross-border stability risks. (3) International monetary power? Technology cannot secure dollar dominance alone; as sterling showed, it rests on monetary credibility, fiscal capacity, deep capital markets and the rule of law.

Modernizing the Payments Operating Model: From fragmented processes to a seamless 24/7 payments system

Whitepaper của BNY lập luận rằng hiện đại hoá thanh toán không còn là nâng cấp từng hệ thống (rail) riêng lẻ mà là thiết kế lại toàn bộ mô hình vận hành cho thế giới 24/7/365 với gần 100 hệ thống thanh toán thời gian thực, ISO 20022, tiền token hoá và AI. BNY giới thiệu Unified Payments Platform: một lớp điều phối không phụ thuộc rail, kết nối cả thanh toán truyền thống lẫn hệ sinh thái tiền số, đặt dữ liệu chuẩn hoá và “nhân viên số” dùng AI tác tử (agentic AI) làm nền tảng vận hành.BNY's whitepaper argues that payments modernization is no longer rail-by-rail upgrades but a redesign of the whole operating model for a 24/7/365 world with nearly 100 real-time rails, ISO 20022, tokenized money and AI. BNY presents its Unified Payments Platform: a rail-agnostic orchestration layer connecting traditional payments and digital-cash ecosystems, built on standardised data and agentic-AI “digital employees”.

The Machine-Native Economy: How digital assets connect intelligence, commerce, and compute

BlackRock lập luận rằng AI và tài sản số đang hội tụ: AI là “trí tuệ gốc máy”, còn tài sản số là “tiền gốc máy”. Ba điểm giao: (1) mô hình ngôn ngữ lớn và blockchain đều dùng kiến trúc token hoá để máy xử lý thông tin hoặc giá trị; (2) thương mại do AI tác tử thực hiện cần hạ tầng thanh toán lập trình được, chạy liên tục, xử lý giao dịch giá trị rất nhỏ, nơi stablecoin và giao thức như x402, ACP phù hợp hơn ACH hay thẻ; (3) năng lực tính toán (compute) có thể trở thành thị trường tài sản số lớn khi doanh thu đám mây hyperscaler có thể vượt 1.000 tỷ USD/năm vào 2030.BlackRock argues AI and digital assets are converging: AI is machine-native intelligence and digital assets are machine-native money. Three overlaps: (1) LLMs and blockchains share tokenization architectures that let machines process information or value; (2) agentic commerce needs programmable, always-on rails for tiny payments, where stablecoins and protocols such as x402 and ACP fit better than ACH or cards; (3) compute could become a large digital-asset market as hyperscaler cloud revenue may exceed USD 1tn a year by 2030.

Institutional Crypto Adoption: How leading institutional investors are thinking about and allocating to crypto assets

Three findings: bitcoin is the universal conviction asset, often paired with gold; Ethereum and Solana are thesis-dependent tech bets with exit gates. Institutional capital is sticky: despite a ~50% drop from Oct 2025 to Apr 2026, no institution cut its allocation. Remaining barriers are governance and reputation, not merit; allocations mostly 1–2% (range 0.5–13%).

Hidden by complexity? Measuring stablecoin, crypto and decentralised finance ecosystems (BIS Working Paper No 1377)

This BIS–DNB paper highlights the DeFi data paradox: every transaction is public, yet deriving economic meaning is hard. Using about 100 billion records from Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tron, the authors identify three sources of measurement divergence: aggregating Bitcoin's UTXO transactions, smart-contract programmability and spurious token proliferation on Ethereum, and the same stablecoin serving different functions across chains. Conclusion: popular on-chain indicators (volume, market cap, TVL) are noisy approximations and should be reported as ranges with explicit assumptions.

Stablecoin Payment Activity Report

Báo cáo của Alvarez & Marsal (dữ liệu Allium đến 31/08/2026) bóc tách con số khối lượng stablecoin “khủng” để tìm phần thanh toán thật. Trong 85 nghìn tỷ USD chuyển khoản 8 tháng đầu 2026, chỉ khoảng 4 nghìn tỷ là hoạt động kinh tế thực, và thanh toán chỉ chiếm tối thiểu 401 tỷ USD, nhưng tăng 42% so với cùng kỳ. 58–64% thanh toán chảy về doanh nghiệp; USDT trên Tron chiếm phần lớn giá trị thanh toán. Ngân hàng đang chạy hai hướng: tiền gửi token hoá để phòng thủ và liên minh 21 tổ chức phát hành stablecoin USD để tấn công.Alvarez & Marsal (using Allium data through 31 Aug 2026) strips down headline stablecoin volumes to find real payments. Of USD 85 trillion transferred in Jan–Aug 2026, only about USD 4 trillion is real economic activity, and payments are at least USD 401bn, but growing 42% year on year. 58–64% of payments go to businesses, and USDT on Tron carries most payment value. Banks are pursuing a dual track: tokenised deposits as defence and a 21-institution USD stablecoin consortium as offence.

Cross-Border Payments in Africa: Regional Spotlight, Interoperability Index Report

Báo cáo của Thunes dùng Chỉ số Khả năng tương tác xuyên biên giới để xếp hạng châu Phi: Kenya dẫn đầu khu vực (hạng 36 toàn cầu), tiếp theo Nigeria, Nam Phi, Ai Cập. Châu Phi vẫn đắt đỏ khi kết nối qua ngân hàng truyền thống vì chuỗi ngân hàng đại lý dài. Thanh toán nội khối đang cải thiện nhờ PAPSS (21 ngân hàng trung ương tham gia) và liên minh tiền di động, nhưng tiền di động vẫn là hệ thống khép kín, khó chuyển ra nước ngoài. Nigeria nổi bật về stablecoin: 29% người được khảo sát đã dùng, và 40% người gửi tiền quốc tế dùng nền tảng crypto (so với 11% toàn cầu).Thunes' Cross-border Interoperability Index ranks Africa: Kenya leads the region (36th globally), followed by Nigeria, South Africa and Egypt. Africa remains costly to connect via legacy banking because of long correspondent chains. Intra-African payments are improving through PAPSS (21 central banks) and mobile-money alliances, but mobile money remains closed-loop and hard to send abroad. Nigeria stands out on stablecoins: 29% of respondents already use them, and 40% of international senders use crypto platforms (versus 11% globally).

How instant payments are transforming the financial landscape

McKinsey shows instant payments reached nearly USD 22tn in 2024 across the 15 largest adopting economies, only ~1% of USD 2 quadrillion in global value flows, but expected to grow 15–18% a year over five years. It compares Brazil, India, Mexico and the US. India and Mexico were early adopters with opposite outcomes: India's UPI processes 19bn+ transactions a month thanks to zero fees, subsidies, digital public infrastructure and boosts from 2016 demonetisation and COVID-19, while Mexico's SPEI struggled to become a retail rail. Banks, acquirers and card schemes face revenue pressure and must adapt their business models.

Tokenizing central bank money on public blockchains

Bindseil and Duve propose an under-discussed route: issuing tokenized central bank money directly on public blockchains, alongside cash and conventional CBDC. The reason: private stablecoins are capturing the on-chain payment layer through 24/7 infrastructure, composability and smart contracts, threatening monetary sovereignty and fostering dollarization. Reusing open infrastructure could be cheaper than proprietary systems and reduce vendor lock-in; modern blockchain features (whitelists, issuer controls) can mitigate illicit-finance and stability risks. But it cannot save a currency with failed monetary policy.

Tokenisation Was the Easy Part: Turning tokenised assets into productive, compliant collateral

Baillie Gifford and Aave Labs argue that putting assets on-chain is no longer the hard part: tokenised RWAs reached USD 38.2bn (19 Aug 2026), yet only ~5% of tokenised bonds are used in DeFi. The next value lies in pledging tokenised funds as collateral instead of selling them for liquidity. That requires the fund's legal register to move with the token (the BAGEY fund, issued natively on-chain in June 2026) and a compliant institutional lending market such as Aave Horizon.

The Evolution of Financial Market Infrastructures in a Tokenized Economy (IMF WP/26/136)

Bài nghiên cứu IMF WP/26/136 (7/2026) xem xét token hoá và DLT có thể biến đổi hạ tầng thị trường tài chính (FMI) ra sao, khi hợp đồng thông minh đảm nhận ngày càng nhiều chức năng của trung tâm lưu ký chứng khoán (CSD), đối tác bù trừ trung tâm (CCP) và kho dữ liệu giao dịch. Lưu trữ hồ sơ, quyết toán, quản lý tài sản đảm bảo và báo cáo có thể chạy on-chain; nhưng các chức năng cần chắc chắn pháp lý, quản trị, trách nhiệm giải trình và quyết định tuỳ nghi vẫn thuộc về định chế. Kết luận: token hoá sẽ tái cấu trúc chứ không xoá bỏ FMI, tạo hiệu quả mới đồng thời rủi ro vận hành và quản trị mới; mô hình khả dĩ nhất là FMI lai giữa công nghệ và định chế.IMF Working Paper WP/26/136 (July 2026) examines how tokenisation and DLT may transform financial market infrastructures (FMIs) as smart contracts take on functions of CSDs, CCPs and trade repositories. Record-keeping, settlement, collateral management and reporting can move on-chain; but functions needing legal certainty, governance, accountability and discretion remain institutional. Conclusion: tokenisation will reconfigure rather than eliminate FMIs, bringing efficiencies and new operational and governance risks; the most plausible outcome is a hybrid model of technology and institutions.

Benchmark: AI Agents x Stablecoins — The payment infrastructure for the autonomous economy

The Big Whale's report (June 2026) argues payments are the wall blocking AI-agent deployment: 93% of executives want agents but only 2% have deployed at scale. Agents need to pay in two seconds, for fractions of a cent, without human input, which SEPA, cards and SWIFT cannot do. The author argues stablecoins alone meet all four needs: programmability, instant settlement, price stability and near-zero fees. Agentic payments are projected to grow from USD 7bn to USD 93bn by 2032; by April 2026, 69,000 agents were active on x402 with over 165m transactions. Stripe and Circle are the pillars; banks are still piloting; Europe has a blind spot without a widely used euro stablecoin.

Global agentic AI spending is forecast at USD 52.62bn by 2030, with financial services growing 41% a year, yet only 11% of companies have agents in production. A survey of 150 bank executives finds 38% investing aggressively, 37% just enough and 25% underinvesting. It proposes an agent architecture across front, middle and back office, starting with low-risk back office; a human-in-the-loop model; five prerequisites (data, governance, impact measurement, technology, talent); and a four-phase roadmap. Much of the paper promotes the firm's Orion platform (built with NVIDIA) and VerifAI.

The first research note of the Stanford Digital Economy Lab's AI Economic Indicators project (June 2026) with three tools. The Canaries Dashboard (with ADP) tracks employment by age and AI exposure: the overall gap between more- and less-exposed occupations is modest, but early-career workers (22–25) in exposed jobs fare noticeably worse, and automation-type AI use (not augmentation) correlates with weaker employment. The Takeoff Tracker follows 12 takeoff indicators: as of May 2026, seven show no takeoff, three mild and two strong evidence. The Adoption Monitor finds rising AI use but signs of a workplace reversal.

Against Crypto Exceptionalism in Financial Regulation

A legal paper by Dr Nydia Remolina (Singapore Management University) comparing crypto regulation in the EU, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong and the UK, contrasted with Switzerland and Canada. Jurisdictions either create a sui generis crypto category (EU, UK) or fit crypto into existing regimes such as payment services (Singapore, historically Japan). Yet the substantive duties (disclosure, custody, client-asset segregation, governance, prudential safeguards, market integrity) are all transplanted from traditional securities and financial law. The author argues crypto exceptionalism causes duplication, weakens technology neutrality and blurs the line between payments, securities and prudential law, and proposes regulating by economic function rather than the crypto label.

Real-World Asset Tokenisation: A Game Changer for Global Trade

It argues tokenisation is the biggest architectural upgrade to financial infrastructure since the joint-stock company. The global trade-finance gap is about USD 2.5tn, hitting developing-country SMEs hardest. The paper explains tokenised trade-finance mechanics, four pillars of change, what institutions are building (such as HSBC Orion's first cross-border repo with a natively issued digital bond on a public chain, spanning Switzerland, Singapore and Japan), risks, and frameworks in Singapore, Switzerland, the UAE and the UK.

Continuous Yield Streaming in Tokenized RWA Vaults

Bài mô tả vai trò, dòng tiền, cơ chế quyết toán, điều kiện khả năng thanh toán và phân bổ rủi ro.A market-structure working paper by Pearl Digital (8 June 2026). On-chain yield products come in two kinds: tokenised RWAs whose price floats with NAV, and yield-bearing stablecoins that rebase or accrue into share price. The paper proposes a third: a par-stable instrument issued from an RWA vault where principal is a fixed claim on attested reserves and yield is streamed continuously as newly minted units. This keeps the token usable as collateral, settlement medium and unit of account while passing through the underlying RWA return. It sets out roles, flows, settlement mechanics, solvency invariants and risk allocation.

The State of Tokenization — June 2026 (webinar deck)

Pantera Capital's webinar deck (June 2026) revisiting its Q1 2026 State of Tokenization report and the fund's investment thesis. Pantera scored 593 tokenised assets across 11 classes with its Tokenization Progress Index (TPI); the tracked market is USD 320.6bn (up about 60% since 2024), with 168 new assets launched in 2025 (up 115%). Like a 1995 newspaper on a website, most assets are digital wrappers: issuance, settlement and composability remain largely off-chain. New entrants mostly copy the wrapper pattern, so the composite TPI has not risen proportionally. Pantera expects an NYSE, DTCC and Robinhood for on-chain-native assets.

Unlocking Tokenized Fund Composability: The next generation of capital markets

A LayerZero and Centrifuge report (June 2026), following their March 2026 partnership bringing Centrifuge's tokenisation infrastructure into the LayerZero ecosystem. Thesis: chapter one (issuance) is largely done; chapter two (composability) is in progress. The next question is whether tokenised instruments can move securely across chains, serve as collateral, settle intraday and power stablecoin-reserve yield while keeping their legal and operational structures. It sets out tokenised-fund use cases (yield for stablecoin reserves, collateral in on-chain credit, treasury management, short-term funding and repo), requirements for multi-chain distribution and cross-chain NAV, and a hub-and-spoke architecture that lets compliance travel with the fund, with asynchronous settlement as the standard.

The strategic role of stablecoins and tokenization for Canadian institutions

Báo cáo phân tích stablecoin, tiền gửi token hoá, token hoá RWA, đường ray thanh toán và khung quản trị rủi ro.KPMG Canada's report (June 2026) on Canada's tokenisation moment. Tokenisation is becoming a practical way to modernise how money, deposits and assets are issued, moved, settled and serviced, both as an internal enabler and a client product. Legal milestone: Bill C-15 (Budget 2025 Implementation Act, No. 1) received Royal Assent on 26 March 2026, creating Canada's first federal framework for fiat-backed stablecoins issued by non-prudentially regulated entities (the Canadian Stablecoin Act). Next is clarity for prudentially regulated entities, requiring coordination across the Bank of Canada, OSFI, CSA and CIRO. It covers stablecoins, tokenised deposits, RWA tokenisation, payment rails and a risk blueprint.

DLT and repo, Part I

Phần II sẽ phân tích lợi ích và trở ngại.ICMA's Part I report (June 2026, by Richard Comotto) reviews how far distributed ledger technology (DLT) had been applied to repo by end-2025 and defines a DLT repo. Between 2017 and end-2025 there were 34 publicised DLT repo tests and transactions, mostly proofs of concept, pilots or simulations without real settlement. Only Broadridge's DLR and J.P. Morgan's Kinexys saw regular, substantial commercial use. The report sorts workflows into four models, examines tokens, digital cash for settlement, adoption drivers, digitised repo infrastructure and progress on a GMRA for DLT repo. Part II will cover benefits and obstacles.

Quy tắc nhằm tạo nền tảng cho phát hành stablecoin, hỗ trợ ổn định, niềm tin người tiêu dùng và tính toàn vẹn thị trường.FCA Policy Statement PS26/10 (June 2026), responding to CP25/14 and CP25/41, sets final rules for non-systemic UK-issued qualifying stablecoins. It covers joint regulation of systemic stablecoins with the Bank of England; backing assets; segregation and the statutory trust; requiring an unconnected third party to safeguard backing assets; record-keeping and reconciliations; redemption (a T+1 timeline starting when the issuer receives the stablecoin, after KYC/AML); third parties; disclosures; and cost–benefit analysis, with the made legal instrument. The FCA's first publication of its kind (June 2026), not predictions or guidance but three scenarios for how emerging technologies may combine to create new outcomes. First, personalised intelligence: AI as a personal financial proxy that lets consumers delegate complex intentions without losing control, with dependency risks. Second, synthetic (in)security: deepfakes and AI enabling new fraud. Third, programmable finance: DLT, tokenisation, CBDCs, stablecoins and smart contracts moving from pilots to national strategies, potentially reshaping infrastructure and creating new markets.

Ethereum Basics for Governments and Institutions

An Ethereum Foundation primer for governments and institutions answering basic questions: what a blockchain is, how Ethereum works, ETH's role, staking, settlement and finality, self-custody wallets, layer 2s, and how a central bank might assess stablecoin issuance on Ethereum versus other networks. Many figures are anchored in OpenZeppelin's independent technical risk assessment (Mar 2026) of six networks. Ethereum hosts over USD 15.2bn of tokenised RWAs, three times BNB Chain (USD 3bn) and Solana (USD 2.1bn) combined; ERC-20 and the EVM are the de facto standards for tokenised assets.

The Digital Finance Stack: Where Early-Stage Capital Should Play

A thought paper by CV VC (June 2026), a Europe-based blockchain venture fund, on what institutional adoption of digital assets at production scale means for early-stage investors. Digital-asset volumes are in the trillions, tokenised RWAs grow over 200% a year, and bank-grade settlement tokens run on public chains. Not everything banks do is a startup opportunity; the task is to find white space incumbents will not prioritise or reach fast. CV VC's three conviction areas: blockchain-native compliance infrastructure, vertical payment infrastructure (humanitarian corridors, African digital commerce, the creator economy), and solving trust problems.

The Future of Banking Infrastructure: A Practitioner's Guide to Sovereign Digital Infrastructure in the Finternet Era

A joint Cubewire and Polygon Labs white paper (June 2026) on banking infrastructure in the Finternet era (the BIS concept of interconnected financial ledgers). Legacy infrastructure imposes uncompetitive structural costs: global corporates pay over USD 120bn a year in fees on about USD 23.5tn of cross-border flows; about a third of international payment cost is trapped nostro–vostro liquidity; payments revenue growth halved from 8.8% to 4%. Reference figures: USD 33tn stablecoin on-chain volume in 2025, USD 2.4bn in BlackRock BUIDL across eight chains, USD 140tn tokenised-deposit flows projected by 2030. Banks face a security–scalability–sovereignty trilemma; the answer is sovereign execution environments on public chains with institutional controls. In APAC, with overlapping MAS, HKMA and APRA frameworks, the need is urgent.

Báo cáo không đề cập tài sản số hay token hoá.CRIF's (a credit information firm) annual Banking on Banks report, this year surveying 5,000 consumers and, for the first time, 500 business leaders in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany and Poland (by Opinium, March–April 2026). Context: Middle East conflict pushing oil above USD 100 a barrel, sticky inflation and markets pricing ECB hikes. 78% of Europeans worry about their finances over the next 12 months (74% last year) and 50% plan to cut spending; 81% of businesses have at least one major financial concern. Banks are seen as essential but not trusted to deliver: only 29% of consumers think providers do enough to support them, and 55% of businesses worry about European banks' resilience. AI-enabled fraud is a major worry: 71% of consumers fear AI is creating new kinds of fraud (25% were worried about AI risks last year). The report does not cover digital assets or tokenization.

2026 digital currency and tokenisation update

CommBank's note (22 June 2026) on digital currencies and tokenisation moving from pilots to production. Digital money takes three forms: stablecoins, deposit tokens and CBDCs; programmability and atomic settlement make payments faster and cheaper, especially across borders. Digital finance such as tokenisation could deliver about USD 4tn in global efficiency gains a year, including about USD 24bn a year for Australia. 2026 is billed as Australia's breakthrough year: initial digital-asset legislation has passed with more to come, bringing Australia closer to the EU, US, Hong Kong and Singapore. CommBank and DFCRC experts expect multiple forms of money to coexist.

Tokenization 2030: Wall Street On-Chain

Citi Institute's Citi GPS report (June 2026), with contributions from Blockstream, Securitize, Consensys, Aave Labs, T. Rowe Price, Brevan Howard Digital and others. Tokenisation progress is uneven but the shift is undeniable, evolution rather than revolution. Citi projects USD 5.5tn of tokenised financial assets by 2030 in a base case (bear USD 2.7tn, bull USD 8.2tn). Regulated on-chain money, including stablecoins (projected USD 1.9tn by 2030) and tokenised deposits, provides the settlement foundation earlier efforts lacked. If 10% of US retail investors use on-chain solutions by 2030, that could mean about USD 2.6tn of demand for tokenised public equities. Adoption is only 1.5/10 today; hybrid models and interoperability are key.

Skynet 2026 Stablecoin Threat Intelligence Report

First, attacks on interconnected infrastructure: bridges are the highest-value attack surface, with over USD 328m lost in 2026, including USD 291.3m in the Kelp DAO wallet compromise (Apr 2026); wallet compromise has overtaken code bugs as the main vector. Second, state-adjacent sanctions evasion: A7A5, a ruble-backed stablecoin issued in Jan 2025 by Kyrgyz Old Vector on behalf of Russia's A7, processed over USD 110bn in its first year and took about 43% of the non-USD stablecoin market; the Bank of Russia recognised it as a digital financial asset (Oct 2025).

Tokenised Assets: Pathways for Emerging Market and Developing Economies

Các nước được nhắc nhiều: Brazil, Hồng Kông, Ấn Độ, Thái Lan, Singapore, Ghana, Nam Phi.CCAF's report (June 2026) on RWA tokenisation pathways for emerging and developing economies (EMDEs). It builds a conceptual framework (definitions, a taxonomy of tokenised instruments, issuance models, infrastructure), analyses risks and opportunities given EMDE capital-market conditions, impacts on lifecycle activities and asset classes, regulatory responses (with regulator interviews) and the digital infrastructure needed. Examples: Brazil's strategic approach through research, experimentation and infrastructure, with Drex (wholesale CBDC) as settlement rails, statutory recognition of virtual assets and CVM-enabled tokenisation; Thailand's RealX issued the first condominium-backed token (2023). Frequently cited: Brazil, Hong Kong, India, Thailand, Singapore, Ghana, South Africa.

Competition in Digital Financial Services: Regulatory Strategies and Pathways for Emerging Markets and Developing Economies

Malaysia bắt buộc liên thông thanh toán sớm nên cạnh tranh tốt hơn; Việt Nam đi sau, chủ yếu tự nguyện, nên khó vượt qua tình trạng phân mảnh và hệ thống khép kín, hạn chế tác động tới cạnh tranh và hình thành vốn.CCAF and Fii's report (June 2026, funded by the UK FCDO) on how regulators in emerging economies can promote competition in digital financial services and, through it, private capital formation. It proposes a four-tier framework: foundational infrastructure and regulation; entry tools; scaling tools; advanced market-shaping tools. Two case studies: Kenya and Nigeria; Malaysia and Vietnam. Malaysia's early interoperability mandate fostered competition; Vietnam's later, largely voluntary approach struggled to overcome fragmentation and siloed systems, limiting the impact on competition and capital formation.

The Economics of Regulating Tokenized Securities

A paper (14 June 2026) by Álvaro Cartea, Fayçal Drissi (University of Oxford) and Fahad Saleh (University of Florida) modelling how regulation affects tokenised securities markets. Tokenisation does not exempt securities from securities law, so issuers must choose compliance policies that restrict trading (for example KYC'd wallets only). Three results: tighter regulation reduces tokenised-market liquidity; sufficiently strict regulation makes tokenisation commercially unviable; and the strictest regulation tokenisation can withstand depends on the asset's characteristics. Stringency is a policy parameter since regulators can grant exemptive relief.

A unified ledger in practice: lessons from Project Hangang

A paper by Jaemin Ryu, Hyun Song Shin (BIS), Joonyi Sung and Sung Guan Yun, presented at an ECB forum, on the Bank of Korea's Project Hangang, a real-world implementation of the unified-ledger concept (BIS, 2023). Hangang has run live retail transactions with about 80,000 users using tokenised deposits settled in tokenised central bank money, and is developing public-fund disbursement via smart contracts. A key design choice is issuing wholesale central bank money in token form directly on the platform rather than linking to RTGS. Lessons: tokenisation is possible while keeping the two-tier monetary system; but the live system is transitional, with the two ledgers reconciled offline.

2026 Report on Self-Custody Wallets and Their Role in Digital Finance

A 2026 report by Block (owner of the Bitkey wallet), using TRM Labs analysis of 318,930 self-custody addresses on five major chains (Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Polygon, Tron). Just 1% of transactions involved illicit counterparties; in the UK, with exchange-level AML controls, only 0.1%. It rebuts four myths: that self-hosted wallets are mainly for illicit use, enable untraceable transactions, concentrate illicit activity, and should be banned. Recommendations: risk-based, evidence-informed rules; treat self-custody tools as infrastructure (like wallets or safes), not intermediaries; anchor AML duties at on/off ramps.

Quantum Computing and Blockchains: Quantum progress and its implications for global cybersecurity and digital assets

A BlackRock digital-assets team report (June 2026) on quantum computing progress and the risks to cybersecurity and digital assets. A cryptographically relevant quantum computer (Q-Day) has moved from distant to possibly within the decade: Google moved its migration deadline to 2029 and IBM targets large-scale fault-tolerant quantum computing in 2029–2033. RSA and elliptic-curve cryptography used in banking, email, SWIFT and blockchains could be broken by Shor's algorithm. But post-quantum standards are finalised and Bitcoin and Ethereum can migrate; the hard part is coordinating upgrades across decentralised networks. Conclusion: the defence still has the advantage.

The macroeconomics of stablecoins (BIS Working Paper No 1363)

Bài nghiên cứu BIS số 1363 (6/2026) của Boris Hofmann (BIS), Matthias Kaldorf (Bundesbank) và Matthias Rottner (BIS và Bundesbank) dùng mô hình kinh tế vĩ mô định lượng để phân tích tác động của stablecoin. Có hai kênh ngược chiều: kênh cho vay ngân hàng (người dân giữ stablecoin làm tăng lãi suất tiền gửi, tăng chi phí vốn của ngân hàng và giảm cung tín dụng) và kênh không gian tài khoá (đơn vị phát hành mua tín phiếu Kho bạc làm giảm chi phí vay của chính phủ, mở rộng dư địa giảm thuế hoặc tăng chi tiêu). Hiệu chỉnh cho Mỹ, mô hình dự báo stablecoin phổ biến rộng làm giảm nhẹ sản lượng dài hạn vì kênh cho vay ngân hàng lấn át kênh tài khoá; bài cũng phân tích các lựa chọn quy định.BIS Working Paper No 1363 (June 2026) by Boris Hofmann (BIS), Matthias Kaldorf (Bundesbank) and Matthias Rottner (BIS and Bundesbank) uses a quantitative macro model to assess stablecoins. Two opposing channels: a bank-lending channel (household stablecoin demand raises deposit rates and bank funding costs and cuts loan supply) and a fiscal-space channel (issuers' T-bill demand lowers sovereign borrowing costs, creating room for tax cuts or spending). Calibrated to the US, widespread adoption modestly lowers long-run output because the bank-lending channel dominates; regulatory options are also analysed.

The anatomy of stablecoin transactions (BIS Working Paper No 1359)

Bài đề xuất phương pháp phân loại và lọc (chỉ tính lệnh lớn nhất trong giao dịch, loại ví hoạt động quá nhiều) để đo hoạt động thanh toán thật.BIS Working Paper No 1359 (10 June 2026) by Fabian Schär (University of Basel) and BIS CPMI experts. Stablecoin transfers are often read as payments, but on programmable chains they are often embedded in atomic bundles combining trading, lending, arbitrage, liquidity provision and settlement. Nearly 60% of stablecoin transfer events occur inside complex transactions; under the authors' definition 68.4% of transactions are simple transfers. Ignoring this structure materially distorts readings of stablecoin payment volume. The paper proposes classification and filters (counting only the largest transfer per transaction, excluding very active wallets) to measure genuine payment activity.

Stablecoin remuneration on centralised exchanges (BIS Bulletin No 125)

There are two models: reserve-based (passing through returns on the issuer's reserve assets) and activity-based (using income from the exchange's market activity). Reserve-based yields track policy rates, like cash-management instruments; activity-based yields are far more volatile. Remuneration can turn stablecoins into substitutes for bank deposits or money market funds, or into funding for exchanges' risky activities, shaping the macro-financial effects of wide adoption.

Tokenizing Real-World Assets: Policy Pathways for Real Estate Tokenization in the Arab Region (Policy Brief No. 34)

Arab Monetary Fund Policy Brief No. 34 (June 2026) on real-estate tokenisation in Arab countries. Tokenisation can boost efficiency and liquidity and widen access through fractional ownership, but the global market is small and uneven. International experience (UK, Singapore, South Africa, the Philippines, EU states) shows success needs clear rules, robust technology and public–private collaboration. Dubai stands out: an activity-specific approach made it a tokenised-finance hub quickly; Prypco Mint turns property into fractional security tokens with a ledger synchronised with the Dubai Land Department (DLD) registry. AMF scores Arab countries' regulatory readiness and proposes a roadmap.

Stablecoin Regulation Report: MiCA, DFAL, and the GENIUS Act for payments companies (Q2 2026)

Since GENIUS passed (July 2025), Transak's inbound shifted from wallets, exchanges and DeFi to fintechs, payroll, remittance and payment processors. Most Sponsors Aren't Actually Ready For Tokenization

A short StegX deck on the tokenisation readiness of fund sponsors in the Germany–Luxembourg corridor. Core message: the token is easy, the operating model is not. Tokenisation is not a technology decision but an operating-model decision inside a regulated investment process (diligence, structuring, onboarding, servicing). Readiness has four layers: narrative (willing to be associated with the idea), exploratory (willing to discuss a one-asset pilot), transactional (can close one deal with borrowed discipline) and operating model (can repeat the workflow internally). Most firms stop at layer two and describe it as layer four.

The Functional Evolution of Digital Assets: From Speculation to Infrastructure — Tokenized Finance

Ripple argues the era of speculation is over: stablecoins proved blockchain utility (holding value, near-free cross-border transfers, settlement in seconds), and tokenized deposits come next. Institutions no longer ask whether to participate but how to scale with proper governance. The report addresses why tokenized money is moving to the core of institutional finance, what it means for banks, treasuries and capital markets, and why custody infrastructure is the foundation for scale. The GENIUS Act creates federal stablecoin licensing; the CLARITY Act, if enacted, would require qualified custody.

OwenPay's industry analyst report (May 2026) on the stablecoin market and its players. In 2025 stablecoins moved from crypto plumbing to global settlement infrastructure: about USD 33tn of on-chain volume, up 72% (versus Visa's USD 16.7tn in FY2025). Market cap was about USD 320.6bn (May 2026), up from USD 205bn at the start of 2025; 8 jurisdictions have active frameworks. The market has stratified into a full stack: issuers (two firms still hold 88–93% of supply, but challengers have momentum), issuance and orchestration platforms, custody, rails and payments. It lists open questions for the next 18 months.

Beyond stablecoins: The emerging architecture of on-chain money

McKinsey's analysis (May 2026) argues stablecoins are a small part of the on-chain economy. In early 2026 circulation was just over USD 300bn (99% USD, 85% issued by Circle or Tether) and flat for six months, while non-cash on-chain assets such as Treasury funds and private credit grew over 30%. A bigger shift is inside banking: tokenised deposits already move trillions a year, with JPMorgan's Kinexys alone estimated at over USD 1tn a year. McKinsey proposes a three-layer monetary stack of stablecoins, tokenised deposits and central bank money, moving on-chain finance from retail use to institutional reality.

Tokenization of Money Market Funds

A primer from J.P. Morgan Asset Management (Global Liquidity: USD 1.5tn, including USD 1.2tn in MMFs) and Kinexys explaining why tokenized money market funds are the next frontier after stablecoins and deposit tokens. It covers digital-asset basics and DLT network types (public/permissionless, public/permissioned, private/permissioned), then tokenized-MMF use cases: faster DvP when cash and securities share a ledger (60–90 minutes saved in some configurations), programmability, portability and collateral efficiency. Open issues include identity, privacy, infrastructure and regulation. The document is marked for institutional and qualified investors only.

Beyond the Benchmarks: A Systemic View of U.S.-China AI Competition

Báo cáo của JPMorganChase (5/2026) đánh giá cạnh tranh AI Mỹ–Trung theo bảy chiều: chính sách, phần cứng, mô hình và phần mềm, năng lượng, tài chính, kinh tế–xã hội, quân sự–an ninh. AI không còn chỉ là cuộc đua công nghệ mà thành cuộc cạnh tranh hệ thống, thử thách mô hình quản trị và kinh tế của mỗi nước. Mỹ dẫn rõ về mô hình tiên tiến, thiết kế chip và vốn đầu tư; Trung Quốc mạnh nhất về năng lượng, cùng lực lượng kỹ sư đông, mô hình chi phí thấp, mã nguồn mở và kiểm soát chuỗi cung ứng phần cứng. Doanh nghiệp không thể đứng ngoài: sức cạnh tranh của họ ngày càng gắn với việc quốc gia nào dẫn đầu AI.JPMorganChase's report (May 2026) assesses US–China AI competition on seven dimensions: policy, hardware, models and software, energy, finance, socioeconomics, and military and security. AI is no longer just a tech race but a systemic contest testing each country's governance and economic model. The US leads clearly in frontier models, chip design and capital; China is strongest in energy, with a deep engineering bench, low-cost and open-source models and control of hardware supply chains. Companies cannot stay neutral: their competitiveness increasingly tracks which country leads in AI.

Crypto Money Laundering

A law article by Jiaying Jiang (University of Florida Levin College of Law, 2026) on crypto money laundering. It describes how criminals exploit crypto's anonymous and pseudonymous features, emerging trends and the current legal framework, whose core weakness is reliance on trusted intermediaries, at odds with crypto's disintermediation ethos. It demystifies decentralisation as a spectrum across development, governance and operation; many DeFi-labelled projects remain highly centralised and arguably only Bitcoin is near-fully decentralised. It proposes combining blockchain intelligence with digital identity into a decentralised infrastructure that splits public and private roles, improving tracing and seizure of illicit funds while preserving some decentralisation.

Central Bank Independence and Monetary Policy Effectiveness in the Middle East, Central Asia, and Caucasus

Đây không phải báo cáo trọng tâm về RWA.An IMF Middle East and Central Asia Department paper (2026), by a team led by Dmitry Gershenson, assessing central bank independence and monetary policy effectiveness in the Middle East, Central Asia and the Caucasus (frequently cited: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE). Agentic AI and Blockchain Infrastructure

Franklin Templeton Digital Assets' white paper (May 2026) groups blockchain infrastructure into eight functions (base protocol, access, execution, data/oracles, interoperability, trust/attestation, payments, governance) and analyses where agentic AI will raise demand. Value is likely to accrue to the infrastructure that makes agent activity reliable and repeatable rather than to applications. Examples: ERC-8004 for agent identity and reputation, and x402 for machine-to-machine payments (over 100m payments by Dec 2025). The risk is concentration: BNB, Ethereum and Base hold 74% of ERC-8004 registrations, and three entities control over 33% of staked ETH.

Digital Money – a perspective on stablecoins, tokenised deposits, and CBDCs

Deutsche Bank Corporate Bank's paper (May 2026) on three forms of digital money (stablecoins, tokenised deposits and CBDCs) and what they mean for financial institutions, corporate treasuries and custody. USD stablecoins dominate (about USD 278bn versus USD 444m in euro stablecoins). Rules are clarifying: the GENIUS Act (July 2025) in the US, MiCAR fully applicable since Dec 2024 in the EU, Hong Kong's Stablecoins Ordinance from 1 Aug 2025, and MAS consultations. Tokenised deposits follow three models: single-bank, multi-bank (Partior, Swift Ledger, Agorá) and on public chains. Retail CBDCs see little uptake, while wholesale CBDCs move from concept to implementation.

Regulating Compliance in a World of Decentralized Finance (CIGI Paper No. 355)

Bài phân tích rủi ro không tuân thủ của DeFi, so sánh các cách tiếp cận quy định khả dĩ, và bàn về phối hợp xuyên biên giới cùng thẩm quyền tài phán.CIGI Paper No. 355 (Canada, May 2026) by Steven Schwarcz and Jack Tiedemann. DeFi promises cheaper, faster, more accessible finance by replacing intermediaries with software and smart contracts. But removing intermediaries also removes the chokepoints for modern regulation: customer identification and screening, disclosure, recordkeeping, operational safeguards and incident reporting. The paper analyses DeFi's non-compliance risks, compares possible regulatory approaches, and discusses cross-border coordination and jurisdiction.

The New Rails: How Digital Assets Are Reshaping the Foundations of Finance

Chainalysis's report on finance's new rails, continuing its 2024 Crypto Maturity Journey series, covers five areas: stablecoin payments, tokenised RWAs, blockchain infrastructure, compliance standards and agentic payments. Stablecoins processed USD 28tn in 2025, enough to rival card networks, and became the first crypto with real regulatory clarity via the GENIUS Act. Big banks are moving: Morgan Stanley is opening crypto trading to clients and JPMorgan issues deposit tokens on public chains. A generational wealth transfer of up to USD 100tn to Millennials and Gen Z will accelerate the trend. It also covers compliance standards and Coinbase's x402 machine-payment protocol.

How to Embed Crypto Into Your Business: A Crypto-as-a-Service Guide for Banks and Fintechs

BitGo's guide (updated May 2026) for banks and fintechs embedding crypto as a service. Digital assets are now operating infrastructure for custody, trading, settlement, treasury and payments: stablecoins exceed USD 272bn in supply, about USD 10.2tn in adjusted 12-month volume and over USD 51tn in total on-chain volume. EY: 83% of institutions planned to raise digital-asset allocations in 2025 and 84% use or are interested in stablecoins. US rules are friendlier: OCC Interpretive Letter 1183 (Mar 2025) removed the non-objection process, the FDIC dropped prior notification (Mar 2025), the GENIUS Act passed (July 2025) and the OCC conditionally approved BitGo Bank & Trust. The challenge is not the interface but the operating engine: licensing, onboarding, custody architecture and policy controls.

The Future of Digital Assets (BCG Flagship Report)

BCG khuyên ngân hàng coi tài sản số là hạ tầng chiến lược.BCG's flagship report (May 2026) for financial executives splits digital assets into digital money, tokenised RWAs and crypto. Crypto dominates today (about USD 3tn market cap, about USD 90bn revenue pool), stablecoins are about USD 300bn and publicly visible tokenised RWAs only about USD 30bn. In a progressive scenario, tokenised RWAs could reach about 16% of global investable assets (about USD 88tn) by 2035; a natural ceiling for stablecoins is about 15% of M2 (about USD 9tn). In a rapid-digitisation scenario banks could see 10% smaller balance sheets, 14% lower revenue and 30% lower profits by 2035. BCG urges banks to treat digital assets as strategic infrastructure.

Báo cáo lập bản đồ các thị trường có tiềm năng như AUD, AED, PHP.Standard Chartered and Zodia Markets on the stablecoin diversification gap: over 98% of stablecoin market cap is USD, while the USD is about 50% of global cross-border payments. It examines structural drivers of local-currency stablecoin demand: substituting weak financial infrastructure (access), settlement-hour mismatch (speed) and regional stability anchors (stability). Governments must choose to restrict or participate; local-currency scale needs legal frameworks, credible issuers and liquidity. Case study: Standard Chartered, Anchorpoint's largest shareholder, received an HKMA stablecoin issuer licence. It maps markets with potential, such as AUD, AED and PHP.

SoK: Blockchain Agent-to-Agent Payments

A Systematisation of Knowledge (SoK) by authors from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), Monash, CSIRO Data61, the University of Sydney, Wuhan and Zark Lab on blockchain-based payments between AI agents. As agents handle workflows and interact (e.g. prototypes like OpenClaw and Moltbook), secure payments between unknown, untrusted agents are a precondition for a trustworthy agent-to-agent ecosystem. It systematises blockchain A2A payments (such as x402) for the first time along a four-stage lifecycle: discovery, authorisation, execution and accounting; classifies designs per stage, highlights trust and security challenges and sets out research directions.

Tokenization of financial assets on blockchain: Regulatory frameworks, market efficiency, technical security, and social impact in emerging economies

A paper by Md Naeem Sharker (University of Chittagong, Bangladesh) systematically reviewing 2018–2025 literature, plus regulatory documents and platform data, around seven questions on tokenising financial assets: regulatory design, cross-border enforceability, liquidity, investment democratisation, smart-contract security, interoperability and investor trust. Conclusion: technology is largely ready, but the institutional architecture for tokenised capital markets, especially in emerging economies such as Bangladesh, is underdeveloped legally, regulatorily and socially. It proposes a cross-disciplinary framework for these constraints.

Stablecoin strategy for Asia 2026: What operators need to know before building stablecoin infrastructure in Asia

A report by Saber (cross-border payment infrastructure built by the team behind India's Mudrex exchange; foreword signed April 2026) for operators building stablecoin infrastructure in Asia. Asia receives over USD 350bn in remittances a year, more than any region (India about USD 130bn, the Philippines about USD 40bn). Despite advanced domestic rails (UPI, PayNow, PromptPay, InstaPay), cross-border payments into Asia remain slow and costly: a USD 200 transfer can lose 6–10% and take days. Asia lacks a unified system like SEPA; each corridor has its own licences, reporting and capital controls. It covers bridging stablecoins and fiat (the banking sandwich), stablecoin premiums, country compliance and a blueprint to win. Saber has processed over USD 2bn across 40+ countries.

The Adoption of Money Innovations: A Comparative Analysis

Bài nghiên cứu của Bernhard Reinsberg (Đại học Glasgow, Trung tâm Nghiên cứu Kinh doanh Cambridge, 4/2026), phân tích hệ thống đầu tiên về điều kiện khiến các xã hội áp dụng đổi mới tiền tệ: tiền mã hoá, stablecoin và CBDC. Dựa trên bộ dữ liệu đa quốc gia tự xây, hồi quy cho thấy ít trùng lặp giữa các yếu tố tác động, ngoài đặc điểm cơ bản như trình độ phát triển, quy mô dân số và (ở mức thấp hơn) loại hình chế độ chính trị. Việc dùng tiền mã hoá chủ yếu do bất ổn vĩ mô–tài chính và thiếu tiếp cận tín dụng ngân hàng. A paper by Bernhard Reinsberg (University of Glasgow; Cambridge Centre for Business Research, April 2026), the first systematic analysis of when societies adopt money innovations: cryptocurrencies, stablecoins and CBDCs. Using an original cross-country dataset, regressions show little overlap in drivers apart from fundamentals such as development, population size and (less so) regime type. Crypto use is driven by macro-financial instability and lack of bank credit access. CBDC adoption by states is linked to sanctions exposure and motives such as reserve diversification and alternative cross-border payments.

Ngân hàng nào cũng có chiến lược token hoá, nhưng phần lớn mới ở giai đoạn “báo in đưa lên website”: khoảng 77,6% tài sản là “vỏ bọc”, 11,1% “lai” và chỉ 2,7% đạt mức “gốc on-chain”. Sáu phát hiện chính gồm: phát hành dễ nhưng mua lại bị hạn chế; khả năng chuyển nhượng cải thiện nhanh hơn phát hành; khả năng kết hợp DeFi tập trung ở ít tài sản. Báo cáo đề xuất lộ trình bốn bước: bọc (Wrap), kết nối (Connect), kết hợp (Compose), phát hành gốc (Originate).Pantera Research Lab's State of Tokenization Q1 2026 (Franklin Bi, Ally Zach, Danning Sui) tracks 593 assets in a USD 320.6bn market and introduces a data portal and the Tokenization Progress Index (TPI). Every bank has a tokenisation strategy, but most are in the newspaper-on-a-website phase: about 77.6% of assets are wrappers, 11.1% hybrid and only 2.7% on-chain native. Six findings include easy issuance with constrained redemption, transfer improving faster than issuance, and DeFi composability concentrated in few assets. Vietnam Crypto Regulations & Risks (Country Assessment 2026)

Báo cáo cũng phân tích thị trường P2P (khoảng 290 triệu USD USDT bán ra), và tội phạm liên quan crypto (lừa đảo Ponzi hơn 2,66 tỷ USD, cờ bạc trái phép hơn 3,8 tỷ USD).Crystal Intelligence's country assessment (cut-off 20 Apr 2026) of Vietnam's move from a grey-zone crypto market to a licensed pilot regime. Vietnam has 17m+ crypto holders. The Digital Technology Industry Law took effect on 1 Jan 2026, recognising crypto as assets but not means of payment; a five-year pilot (2025–2030) led by the Ministry of Finance requires VND 10tn (about USD 380m) minimum capital, a 49% foreign-ownership cap, VND settlement and 0.1% personal income tax. As of April 2026 no entity was licensed; five applicants (several bank-affiliated) cleared stage one, with the first licence expected mid-to-late 2026, followed by a six-month grace period before unlicensed offshore platforms are blocked. Stablecoins cannot be used for payment (fines up to VND 200m). The VIFC in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang runs a separate sandbox; MIMO's USDT↔VND bridge was approved (2025–2028). It also covers the P2P market (about USD 290m of USDT sell-side) and crypto crime (Ponzi losses over USD 2.66bn, illegal gambling over USD 3.8bn).

The 2026 Global AI in Financial Services Report: Adoption, impact and risks

Rủi ro hàng đầu là quyền riêng tư dữ liệu và “ảo giác” của mô hình; cơ quan quản lý thừa nhận chưa đầu tư đủ cho năng lực giám sát.CCAF's global survey report (University of Cambridge, April 2026), with the BIS, IMF, WEF, World Bank and others, on AI adoption in finance across three groups: financial institutions, AI vendors and regulators. AI has become a structural part of the industry, moving from classical machine learning to generative and agentic AI. Most build on external foundation models (63% of industry, 65% of regulators); OpenAI is most used (76% of industry), followed by Google and Anthropic. 40% report higher profitability from AI and 43% no change; value concentrates in high-investment institutions and fintechs. Top risks are data privacy and model hallucinations; regulators admit supervisory capacity is under-funded.

Cryptoasset service providers as financial intermediaries: risks and policy approaches (FSI Occasional Paper No 27)

Crypto-asset service providers (CASPs) have moved far beyond trading and custody: the largest now offer earn programmes, margin and secured lending, derivatives and token issuance. Many products resemble bank intermediation but often lack commensurate regulation. The paper analyses risks of multifunction crypto intermediaries (conflicts of interest, liquidity risk, intra-group contagion), compares regulatory approaches across jurisdictions and proposes policy directions: functional separation, capital and liquidity requirements, consolidated supervision.

Pricing AI products: Lessons from leading AI companies

Stripe's guide (UK English edition) to pricing AI products, built from conversations with pricing leads at Anthropic, Clay, Fin, PostHog, Vercel and Bessemer Venture Partners. On Stripe, the top 100 AI companies reach USD 1m in annualised revenue in 11.5 months, 3.5 months faster than the top 100 SaaS firms. But monetising AI is harder because inference costs vary, so flat subscriptions risk over- or under-charging. Stripe's survey: 56% of AI company leaders use hybrid pricing and 38% purely usage-based pricing. A five-step framework: set a value metric, set a charge metric, pick a pricing model, set guardrails (spend caps, alerts) and keep iterating.

Real-World Asset Tokenization, DeFi, and Systemic Risk: Lessons from Stablecoins and the First Brands Collapse

A paper by David Krause (Marquette University) on how RWA tokenisation combined with DeFi creates new systemic-risk channels. By early 2026 tokenised RWAs reached about USD 36bn, mainly private credit and US Treasuries, increasingly used as collateral in on-chain lending and stablecoins. It revisits the TerraUSD and USDC depegs as crypto–TradFi contagion, builds a risk taxonomy (liquidity, oracle, collateral, legal, contagion) and explains how leveraged looping amplifies shocks. The First Brands Group bankruptcy with fabricated receivables is a case study of liquidity illusion, credit fraud and on-chain fire sales in tokenised credit pools.

Forget Stablecoins: Why central bank digital currency is the only monetary foundation that will work

An essay by former IMF economists Burkhard Drees and Sunil Sharma in The International Economy (Winter 2026). Every major modern crisis shares one thread: private money failed, from 1930s bank runs to money market funds in 2008 and stablecoins in 2022. Banks' dual role of creating money and financing risky loans is the original sin that makes them indispensable and fragile. Stablecoins only add new runnable instruments. The authors propose CBDC as the monetary foundation: the central bank lends CBDC broadly to credit institutions while individual lending decisions stay decentralised.

Banks Should Validate Public Blockchains: The case for regulated institutions at the base layer

Tony McLaughlin (Ubyx CEO, who originated the Regulated Liability Network idea at Citi) and Brett Hornung (stakeFi) argue that telling banks to keep off public blockchains did not reduce risk; it left the fastest-growing part of finance without regulated providers. Banks should run validators: securing networks, earning rewards and gaining a seat at the base layer of tokenized-money infrastructure. Banks join as peers, without owning or controlling networks. The ask: choose networks, run validators, manage risk with existing disciplines, then issue tokenized deposits on the rails they help secure.

Earn creates value by driving revenue, attracting users and deepening engagement. Three yield sources: cash equivalents (tokenized MMFs such as BUIDL, USDY, ~3.5% APY), institutional credit and alternative funds (ACRED, PRIME, 5–8%), and DeFi lending (Morpho, Aave, 3–5%). Blockchain for banks: Is the financial system ready for an upgrade?

A Roland Berger report (published from its Dubai office) on whether banks are ready to upgrade to blockchain. Banks look fully digital, but core settlement still rests on decades-old systems: operating hours, reconciliation cycles, multi-day international transfers and capital tied up in buffers. Blockchain enables real-time shared-ledger settlement at production cost and speed. Competitive pressure is rising: the American Bankers Association says up to USD 6.6tn of deposits could be at risk if stablecoins keep spreading. The uncomfortable truth: parts of the system are profitable precisely because they are inefficient (transfer fees and float income). Banks should target areas where settlement friction has clear cost and build a sponsored digital-asset capability.

A practical guide by Liminal Custody, co-authored with PwC and FundRock experts, for fintechs in APAC, MENA and beyond. Stablecoin payment infrastructure has moved from experiment to commercial priority. Three shifts: regulatory clarity in several places at once (the GENIUS Act's PPSI framework in July 2025; the UAE completing its PTSR transition; Singapore's MAS framework going live; MiCA fully in force); settlement economics (compressing 2–5 day multi-intermediary processes to near real time and removing FX exposure during clearing); and validation by major players (Stripe's Bridge acquisition, PayPal's PYUSD in Xoom, Visa's stablecoin settlement pilots). Four conclusions: legitimacy arrived in six major jurisdictions at once; rail economics matter at scale; winners are not the largest but those who built governance and compliance in from the start; and advantages compound over time.

Public Blockchains and Regulated Financial Institutions: Key Challenges, Layered Solutions, and a Path Forward

Morgan) and the MIT Digital Currency Initiative (2026) on challenges for financial institutions using public blockchains. Four seemingly simple but unresolved issues: front-running, transaction omission or censorship, receiving unsolicited tokens, and gas fees paid to sanctioned entities; plus quantum resilience, privacy, forks, liveness and finality. It proposes a layered framework across application, smart contract, token standard, network, governance and regulation layers. Application-layer fixes mostly treat symptoms; durable fixes sit at protocol and governance layers (e.g. encrypted mempools) where institutions have little control. Some risks need clear regulatory guidance (treat front-running as market manipulation, safe harbours for sanctions).

Asian Digital Money: CBDC–Deposit Token Convergence and Non-USD Stablecoin Strategy

Four Pillars' 2026 report analyses the digital-money strategies of seven Asian countries. Asia is the most advanced digital-payments region (WeChat Pay over 1bn transactions a day, India's UPI beating Visa on daily count, Korea's cash use below 15%), yet payments still run on 20th-century money. Stablecoins exceed USD 300bn but about 99% are USD; KRW, CNY and INR are near 0% and JPY and SGD about 1.5% each. Unlike the US (GENIUS) and EU (MiCA), which treat public-chain stablecoins as default digital money, Asia is converging on CBDCs and tokenised deposits inside banking: the PBOC has processed 3.48bn e-CNY transactions; the RBI enrolled over 5m digital-rupee pilot participants (Mar 2025); Japan's three megabanks are pursuing a joint yen stablecoin; the Bank of Korea tests wholesale CBDC plus deposit tokens via Project Hangang. It asks where Asian stablecoins survive: as gateways to the USD network, multi-country payments via on-chain FX, and as the cash leg for on-chain capital markets.

Collateral Infrastructure for Tokenized Capital Markets: Just-in-Time Mobility, Capital Efficiency and Market Resilience

Tài liệu dẫn: Broadridge DLR đạt 368 tỷ USD/ngày (11/2025), DTC nhận thư không phản đối của SEC cho dịch vụ token hoá, Hồng Kông phát hành 1,3 tỷ USD trái phiếu số.DTCC's white paper argues the bottleneck in tokenised capital markets is no longer token creation but collateral mobility. DTCC's Collateral AppChain is positioned as shared infrastructure to move tokenised traditional and digital assets across financing, margin and settlement. The aim is to shift collateral from just-in-case to just-in-time, cutting liquidity buffers and funding drag and improving LCR and SA-CCR outcomes. Intraday repo is the clearest use case. It cites Broadridge DLR at USD 368bn a day (Nov 2025), an SEC no-action letter for DTC's tokenisation service, and Hong Kong's USD 1.3bn digital bond.

Bối cảnh: giá trị thanh toán số toàn cầu dự kiến đạt 36,8 nghìn tỷ USD năm 2029 (tăng trưởng 15,9%/năm), thị trường Bắc Mỹ từ 3,2 lên 6,9 nghìn tỷ USD; trong khi hạ tầng xử lý theo lô của ngân hàng trở thành gánh nặng chi phí, rủi ro gian lận và tuân thủ.Payments-software vendor Finzly proposes a “Surround, Shrink, Scale” strategy for banks to exit legacy payment systems without disrupting operations. Instead of a full replacement, banks wrap legacy systems with a payment orchestration layer, migrate functions gradually, then scale. Context: global digital payment value is forecast at USD 36.8tn by 2029 (15.9% CAGR) and North America from USD 3.2tn to 6.9tn, while banks' batch-based infrastructure has become a cost, fraud and compliance liability.

Security token offerings (Small Business Economics, 2021)

An academic article by Thomas Lambert, Daniel Liebau and Peter Roosenboom in Small Business Economics (2021). It distinguishes security token offerings (STOs) from ICOs: a security token is a digital investment product recorded on a blockchain and subject to securities law. Using a unique STO sample, the authors show the STO market developed after the ICO bubble burst; it is nascent, geographically dispersed but concentrated where securities laws are accommodating (US, Switzerland, Singapore, Cayman Islands, UK, Germany, Liechtenstein). Key finding: attaching voting rights to security tokens raises the odds of a successful raise.
